Estudo de processo em psicoterapia com paciente com transtorno de personalidade borderline

O objetivo do estudo é descrever o processo terapêutico e identificar os focos terapêuticos nas sessões de psicoterapia psicanalítica com uma paciente com transtorno de personalidade borderline (TPB). Foi utilizada uma abordagem mista e longitudinal, com base no Estudo de Caso Sistemático. O Psychotherapy Process Q set (PQS) foi usado para caracterizar e descrever o processo terapêutico. O Diagnóstico Psicodinâmico Operacionalizado (OPD-2) identificou o foco terapêutico das sessões e estabeleceu o diagnóstico psicodinâmico. Os resultados evidenciaram mudanças na estrutura e fortalecimento em duas funções estruturais: regulação da gestão de impulsos e diferenciação dos objetos do ego. O OPD apontou um trabalho foi dirigido à estrutura, concluindo-se que um maior foco terapêutico na estrutura e não em conflito parece ser mais apropriado para estes pacientes. O estudo mostra que a integração destes dois métodos lança luz sobre o que acontece no tratamento, quais são os estados mentais e as questões prioritárias, e como o foco do trabalho terapêutico é dado, assim como sua relação com a estrutura básica.
