Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the Subjective Well-Being Scale (EBS-8) in a sample of Colombian adults. Method: The EBS-8 was applied to 498 Colombian adults, of which 19.7% were men and 80.3% women, aged between 18 and 45 years. A confirmatory factor analysis was performed using the unweighted least squares method. Results: The model fit indicators were adequate (χ2 = 62.28; RMSEA = 0.065; GFI = 1.00; RMR = 0.0089; CFI = 1.00), meeting the expected criteria for the EBS-8. Conclusion: The EBS-8 is a psychometrically valid and reliable instrument for measuring subjective well-being in Colombian adults.
