EL DETERMINISMO Y EL PSICOANÁLISIS. (Determinism and Psychoanalysis)

Abstract

En el siguiente texto se realiza un ejercicio hermenéutico de la obra de Freud en el que discute, con fines aclarativos sobre el tema, el sentido que el padre del psicoanálisis le otorgó al concepto de “determinismo psíquico”, un término fundamental de su teoría que ha originado erróneas atribuciones al psicoanálisis, especialmente relacionadas con el tema del libre albedrío humano. En el artículo se sostiene que Freud empleó dicho concepto para sostener la racionalidad que tenían los fenómenos psíquicos, no la carencia de autodeterminación que tienen los sujetos en su vida.

ABSTRACT

In this paper a hermeneutics exercise is carried out about Freud’s work in which it is discussed in order to make clear,  the sense the father of psychoanalysis makes about the idea of  Psychic determinism, a key concept of his theory that has generated some misunderstandings in the interpretation of the psychoanalysis theory,  particularly  related to the issue of human free will. In this article, it is exposed that Freud used this concept to support the rationality of the psychic phenomena, but no the lack of self-determination that present the individuals in their life.
