Relação entre traços da tríade negra e comunicação parental numa amostra de pais com filhos em idade escolar

A comunicação familiar é fundamental no desenvolvimento saudável de crianças e adolescentes. Porém, existem fatores que prejudicam a comunicação familiar, como é o caso da psicopatologia parental. Dada a escassez de literatura no que concerne a este tipo de relação, o presente estudo tem como principais objetivos: explorar a associação entre os traços de personalidade que constituem a Tríade Negra e os diferentes tipos de comunicação parental, verificar as diferenças dos traços de personalidade que comportam a Tríade Negra em função do sexo e analisar o papel preditor da Tríade Negra na comunicação parental. A amostra foi constituída por 290 pais de crianças/adolescentes em idade escolar entre os 7 e os 16 anos de idade, composta por 231 participantes do sexo feminino e 59 do sexo masculino, com idades compreendidas entre os 28 e os 66 anos. Foram utilizados como instrumentos a Escala Dark Triad Dirty Dozen (TN-12), a Escala de Avaliação da Comunicação na Parentalidade – versão para pais (COMPA-P) e um questionário sociodemográfico. Os principais resultados sugerem que o narcisismo está negativamente associado a todas as dimensões da comunicação parental, enquanto o maquiavelismo não está associado a nenhuma dimensão, a psicopatia está negativamente associada à expressão da afeto e apoio emocional e a psicopatia prediz algumas dimensões da comunicação parental. Em suma, os resultados tornam-se pertinentes no desenvolvimento de formações/programas para profissionais de saúde, a fim de sensibilizar sobre a magnitude desta problemática, as suas consequências e fornecer ferramentas para avaliar e intervir.
