EFECTIVIDAD DE LALIDOCAÍNA NEW STETIC COMPARADA CON LA ROXICAÍNA COMO ANESTÉSICO LOCAL ORAL

Resumen

El propósito del estudio fue establecer si existen diferencias en las características de dos anestésicos locales, empleando un método que evalúa la eficacia de los anestésicos mediante estímulos eléctricos. Los dientes estudiados fueron el incisivo lateral superior izquierdo y sus adyacentes, inyectando 1 ml de solución anestésica. Se evaluaron el porcentaje y la duración de la anestesia pulpar, y la extensión, latencia y porcentaje de anestesia de tejidos blandos.- La Lidocaína New Stetic resultó ser de efecto más rápido, más potente y más duradero en la pulpa dental y en los tejidos blandos. La Roxicaína produjo su efecto anestésico en mayor porcentaje de extensión y en mayor cantidad de pacientes. Ambas presentan el mayor porcentaje de extensión en el mismo minuto. ABSTRACT The purpose of this investigation was to establish differences between two local anesthetics with the use of a method which evaluates their effectiveness with electrical stimuli. One milliliter of anesthetic solution was injected in order to analyze upper left lateral incisors and their adjacent teeth. The percentage and duration of pulpal anesthesia and the extension, latency and percentage of anesthesia in soft tissues was evaluated.- Lidocaine (New Stetic) had a faster, more potent and lasting effect on dental pulp and soft tissues. The effect of Roxicaine had a greater extension percentage and in more patients. Both presented the greatest percentage of extension within the same minute.
